Who we are
A foundation born from a simple conviction
Convinced that every child holds a unique potential that deserves to be developed, the founding members created the non-governmental organisation Children's Unity Foundation (CUF). The organisation works for education, mentoring, vocational training, leadership, child protection and community development across Africa.
- An independent, non-political and non-denominational organisation.
- Non-profit status: every resource goes into the programs.
- Programs designed with communities, never imposed on them.
Our method
How we work
Four stages of support, from the first meeting to a young person's independence.
Identify
Our local teams work with schools and families to find the children most at risk of dropping out.
Support
School fees, supplies, textbooks: we remove the material barriers that block access to education, one by one.
Mentor
Every child is followed by a trained mentor who stays with them over time and raises the alarm at the first sign of dropout.
Empower
Vocational training, leadership and job placement: we prepare every young person to stand on their own feet.
